Attention choir singers, karaoke carpool champs, vocal enthusiasts, singers in bands and those who were born to sing.
We get it. You love singing but there are a few essential things you can't sing without: Pitch, Vocal Range and of course, making sense of sheet music.
After years of running weekly community choir sessions, the team behind Australia's leading Adult Glee Clubs, have decided to share their musical knowledge and expertise to the general public.
In this jam packed interactive online workshop, you'll discover some amazing tips on how to improve your pitch. You'll work on some simple and more complex exercises to help fine tune your instrument (aka your voice), and we'll show you how to improve your vocal range through some progressive vocal exercises.
After all, learning how to sing in tune will make you a more confident singer. You might even claim your spot to fame at the next community choir solo part, or have people sing your praises at karaoke.
In addition, we'll unveil the mystery surrounding the reading of sheet music. Unless you've been reading music through instrumental lessons for many years, it can be quite daunting to follow pages of notes and lines.
Regardless of your music reading level and ability, we'll show participants some easy-to-use steps that will have you reading music like a pro at your next rehearsal.
This special online workshop will be led by the incredible Darina Chakarova. Head Program Music Director at Adult Glee Club and All Age Music School.
Darina is a passionate pianist, singer, choral conductor and international music educator. She graduated from the National Academy of Music (Bulgaria) majoring in piano and holds a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting. Her musical expertise and work across various music institutions in Melbourne and Sydney, was recognised when she was awarded a Distinguished Talent Visa. Since then, she has made Australia her home.
Darina's nurturing and friendly personality coupled with her professionalism and diligence will ensure you leave the workshop feeling more in tune and inspired.
All singers of all levels, for all reasons and from all cities, are welcome to attend this special workshop.
