Thu 27 Aug 2020 from 10.30am to 11.45 am - Healthy Living Apps
The first event will cover all the different devices available and what they do. This knowledge will help you determine which is right for you and things to consider when purchasing technology to suit your budget and needs. At the end of all sessions, you'll receive info on some free online learning sites that can help you continue learning at your own pace. If you're new to Zoom meetings, don't worry, you'll learn all about that too as a bonus. You'll be sent detailed step by step instructions on how to join a Zoom meeting, and the meeting will be open one hour prior for registrations, and to help anyone that needs help joining
The second event will expose you to different types of social media tools and what each one of them actually do. This will make it easier for you to decide which one is the best one for you, or you may want them all while you're in isolation, to keep you occupied. The third and last event are about Healthy Living Apps that can help you make informed decisions about your health, and how to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Your mobile device will literally become your health and lifestyle guru that you can carry with you anywhere. Monitor your fitness, eat better, enjoy brain games and destress along the way. Discover some of the more popular apps available and how to use them; and how to assess safety before downloading them. You'll also learn how to set your phone up to help in case of an emergency.
