The Sydney Edible Garden Trail is a ticketed once a year urban edible garden trail run throughoutmetropolitan Sydney.

It celebrates the many ways that Sydney residents are creating food security, building self-reliance, saving money and the environment, while enjoying the health benefits of homegrown fruit and vegetables.

The trail aims to encourage and inspire growing edible produce in street gardens, home gardens and public spaces across Sydney.

Sydney City Farm is opening on Sunday 27 March as part of the trail.

The farm's community hub and cropping area feature floristry and agroforestry demonstration plants, and a range of edible plants (fruit trees, vegetables and herbs) grown in pots and planters. The farm's orchard is planted with 100 fruiting trees, shrubs and vines. We also have a native beehive and small plant propagation nursery.

You can join a guided tour of the farm from:

  • 10am - 10.40am

  • 12noon - 12.40pm

  • 2pm - 2.40pm
