Celebrate History Week 2021 with North Sydney Council Historian Dr Ian Hoskins who uses artworks, maps and photographs to explore the history of the built environment of North Sydney.
North Sydney is often left out of the story of Sydney, that sprawling city on the south side of the harbour.
However, it is part of that metropolis and the story of the other shore is both linked to the south side and in many ways unique.
Along the way, he'll examine changes to the foreshore and the rise of heritage awareness.
This is an illustrated online talk extending for approximately 50 minutes. It will not be possible to field questions.
This is a free and online event. Registrations are essential.
This event is a part of History Week 2021 #fromtheground up, organised by the History Council NSW.
