Get up close and personal with some of OzAsia Festival's most acclaimed artists.

Presented in partnership with The Mill, these workshops and masterclasses place local artists with leading practitioners from across the country and around the world. This is a rare opportunity for South Australian artists to learn, engage, refine and extend their craft under guidance of internationally renowned creative professionals.

Paiwan Movement Workshop

Dancers from Bulareyaung Dance Company share movement and ancient chants learned from the Paiwan indigenous people of Taiwan as part of the making of their show, tiaen tiamen Episode 1. Participants will explore their physicality, incorporating singing with body movements. Recommended for 18+.

Mask, Theatricality and Improvisation

Get a taste of Jacob Rajan's signature performance style as seen in Paradise or the Impermanence of Ice Cream. Work with Rajan and Indian Ink Theatre Company's own mask collection of Balinese Topeng masks to experience, through exercise and improvisation, the truth of the actor's actions and the essence of theatricality.

HollowBody Masterclass

HollowBody is the signature methodology and movement philosophy advocated by Kuik Swee Boon, founding director and main choreographer of Infinitely Closer's T.H.E Dance Company. It utilises improvisational tools to guide practitioners towards a heightened physiological awareness that resonates in their movement choice, approach and expression. Suitable for professional and semi-professional dance artists, dancers, full-time 18+ students and movement enthusiasts.
