Suzi Dougherty is a skilled performer with more than 20 years' experience. She is a founding member of the Bell Shakespeare Company. She has played Cheryl Braxton on Home and Away for over 5 years and currently appears on the show the Gloaming on Stan.  Suzi will run a 2-hour class that will include a voice warm-up- group activities and acting techniques. The class will facilitate many skills like communication- relationship building and strengthening our memory.  The class will be specifically designed with older students in mind- so all levels of physical- mental and vocal capabilities are addressed. The benefits of being involved in acting classes include better health- fewer visits to the doctors- increased social connection. This class usually takes place at the Harry Jensen Community Centre- Millers Point on Fridays and the Reginald Murphy Community Centre- Elizabeth Bay on Tuesdays as part of the City of Sydney City Spaces Program.  This class is held on Zoom- connection details will be emailed after you reserve your space.Disclaimer  a. Gallery NTK conducts art classes for adults with an emphasis on various techniques in painting and drawing. We are a multi award winning and the longest running Art School in the Inner West.All classes will run for a 10-week term and are facilitated by acclaimed professional artist and highly qualified visual arts teacher Norma Tahhan who holds a Master's in Fine Arts and Master's in Art Education.Students are encouraged to further develop their artistic and creative skills in various painting and drawing media and develop their creativity through expert tuition. A fun exploration in using wax to create wearable and none wearable objects.Such techniques as dipping- molding- carving and even alternatives to create and assemble prior to casting in potentially both precious and non-precious metals.This class can also be classed as a projects class and is open to all skill levels.‍Covid-safe measuresDue to social distancing regulations we are limited to allow 4 persons max in each of our classes. You will write your own material and learn how to deliver it.This online course will have a stronger focus on writing- developing material- experimenting with styles and discovering your voice. Students will be encouraged to also make time for writing in their own time to get the most from their class experience. Classes will consist of online meetings where we can do live exercises- learn about new comedy styles- and share material at our digital open mic.Marcel Blanch- de Wilt is a stand-up comedian and improviser. In 2011 he entered the world of stand-up comedy and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Adelaide Comedy Awards- as well as winning a place in the state finals of the Raw Comedy Competition. He has produced four stand-up shows and performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival- Sydney Comedy Festival- Sydney Fringe and Bondi Feast. Marcel is a regular MC and has hosted some of the best comedy shows across Adelaide- Sydney- Perth and Melbourne. He has performed in Hobart- Perth- Newcastle- Wollongong- Canberra- London- Wellington and Chicago. He has supported such names as Dilruk Jayasinha- Dave Hughes- Celia Pacquola- Claire Hooper and more.
