Often referred to as the "fun" alternative to the Archibald portraiture exhibition, the Bald Archies features a cavalcade of caricatures celebrating Australia's most infamous politicians, celebrities and sporting stars.

Australia's premier satirical art competition is back for its 27th year, with 22 entries showcased in the travelling art exhibition.

While sometimes held in contempt by 'art snobs', the competition's longevity highlights its popularity and laser-sharp focus.

Hotel and tourism icon Dr Jerry Schwartz is again sponsoring the Bald Archy Prize, with the winner to be announced at the Ibis Sydney Barangaroo in mid-March. The exhibition will be on display in Sydney for much of March, and will then travel extensively throughout NSW to major regional galleries.

The Museum of Riverina is curating the Bald Archy competition following the passing of exhibition founder Peter Batey, OAM

The full exhibition program can be viewed at their website.
