This showcased event has concluded.
Clinton Hayden is a Wiradjuri-Australian contemporary artist whose work explores themes of intimacy, alienation and longing. His multi-disciplinary practice engages the mediums of photography, mixed-media, and assemblage. Through the careful, poetic combination of photographs, artist-made objects and installation methods, Hayden builds immersive haptic sites for the exploration of love and longing, subject and object, lover and other.
The works selected for this exhibition play on the inherent link between fashion and art photography, the notion of the fashion article-as-art object, and the materiality of art and fashion.
Six La Chambre is a Melbourne-based fashion practice whose clothing uses a mixture of found garments, recut and reshaped, over-dyed and embellished.
Meet the artist at the launch.
