Comin' Down the Calder is the union of Dallas Woods, Galaxy Hop and Nadia Phillips - a diverse group of artists based in and around Castlemaine. Melbourne Music Week will see the eclectic lineup travel down the Calder for the first time in way too long.
Dallas Woods is a rapper, lyricist, recording artist and MC from the Kimberley, now based in Castlemaine. Galaxy Hop is the electronic musings of Tom Norton and friends - playing upbeat, jaunty Krautrock. Emotive lyrics, brooding guitar and catchy refrains underpin the sound of Nadia Phillips - who was born and bred in Castlemaine and splits her time between Melbourne and the goldfields.
Together, these three bands aim to celebrate and connect regional Victoria with Melbourne once again.
