Mindfulness meditation is the ability to be fully present. That is, to be aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us. Mindfulness meditation is a technique used to increase self-awareness by focusing on the present moment and viewing it non-judgmentally to allow calm, rational decisions to be made.
Who should do it?
Anyone can practice mindfulness meditation regardless of age or physical ability. This session is suitable for anyone wanting to learn how to manage stress, worry or low mood by using regular mindfulness practice.
This class is not instructor-led.
Exercise within your physical limits to stay safe and injury-free. If during exercising, you become injured or exhibit signs of distress such as chest pains, you should stop exercising immediately and call 000 emergency services for assistance.
