The Parliament of NSW welcomes children, families and friends to experience democracy through a range of family friendly activities during the April school holidays on Friday 22 April.
Children aged 4 to 12 years will have the opportunity to take part in FREE activities which will see them make speeches in an historic parliamentary chamber or committee role play, learn how to vote, participate in interactive Aboriginal cultural education workshops, make colourful and crafty animals and objects, interact with actors playing characters from our state's democratic history, purchase a 'democracy sausage' sandwich for lunch, and much more! Register to attend via Eventbrite.
If you can't make it to the Festival of Democracy, join in from home with our school holidays colouring-in competition! NSW Parliament is calling on all budding young artists from Kindergarten to Year 6 to submit their entries this school holidays. More details here.
