As part of MFW, Melbourne stalwart slow fashion brand Kuwaii has teamed up with tinsel maven, independent designer and artist Rachel Burke (imakestagram) to prove that waste is not a dirty word. Rachel has worked with offcuts and remnant fabrics from Kuwaii's production processes, and upcycled them into beautiful and covetable pieces of clothing. Come and see these stunning pieces in the flesh at Kuwaii's city store this Melbourne Fashion Week. Kuwaii works towards a circular system with all the brand's textile waste being captured and recycled, as well as a take-back program for Kuwaii pieces at the end of their life. They use innovative, collaborative ways to reduce their textile waste in all ways and through the entire lifespan of the product.
