Yoga classes helps kids slow down and connect with their body, breath and mind, promoting positive body awareness, focus, compassion and individuality. Take part in this free enjoyable and healthy activity, with parents and carers invited to join in on all the stretchy, bendy fun.These school holidays, Darling Quarter will be hosting their regular Friday sessions on Friday 29 September and Friday 6 October on the lawn behind the Darling Harbour Water Play Area. In theme with Spring, we will also be hosting a special edition class on Wednesday 4 October in Monkey Baa Theatre to focus on all of the wonders of the changing season, growth, abundance, animals and flowers flourishing! Kids will also have the chance to make a mindful breathing stick and learn some techniques and affirmations.The 30-minute sessions are led by Danielle Connor, a nanny, actress and qualified yoga instructor who specialises in children's yoga.Classes are tailored children aged 2 to 5 years, though children of all ages are welcome these school holidays. We invite carers and parents to take part to move and stretch with the kids! Mats are supplied, and we recommend wearing comfortable clothing.Please note there is a maximum capacity of 30 per class, first in best dressed. If the class is full, we suggest exploring the Darling Harbour playground, water play area or Darling Square library!
