Shakespeare by the Lakes is a festival with many events - Freeoutdoor park performances of Shakespeare and indoor boutique events with a cover charge - the latter are for those who like an indoor seat and a glass of wine in hand.

All their shows are deeply immersive and fun. Forget boring high school, Shakespeare! While being true to the original, the shows are lively and fun and have loads of local references. People of all ages understand and enjoy their shows!

Their park shows typically have food vendors and are a festive, picnic atmosphere. You can bring a blanket and enjoy an afternoon/evening with friends while taking in the performance.

Their boutique shows have capped audience numbers so you are guaranteed to be close to the action in a way that you may never have been before. You may be 2-3 metres from the performers, and you will feel part of the show.

For park shows, they ask people to register so they can notify in the event of cancellation. There are some alternate dates, should the weather be an issue.
