To ring in the Year of the Ox in 2021, the Sydney Opera House is delighted to welcome patrons on a journey to discover untold stories, anecdotes and history of the iconic building with its one hour tour experience in Mandarin.
For the first time ever, watch unforgettable moments from past Concert Hall performances, learning about the history and future of this world-famous hall with an immersive digital experience in the newest tours venue. Experience the future within a new purpose-built venue that boasts heritage-inspired interiors, state-of-the-art technology, 270-degree visuals and surround sound.
From the jaw-dropping sweep of the sails to our soaring cathedral interiors, it is impossible to complete a tour of the Sydney Opera House without being compelled to look up.
Keeping you safe:
The Sydney Opera House is registered as a Covid-Safe business with the NSW Government.
Tour patrons are required to wear a mask at all times while attending a tour. Children 12 years and under are exempt. Please bring your own face mask. Some members of the community may have issues with wearing masks due to health conditions. Please be respectful to others.
We encourage you to purchase your tour in advance online or via phone where you'll receive an eTicket. Please bring this with you and present it upon check-in at the Welcome Centre located on the Lower Concourse.
To help maintain physical distancing, tours will not exceed 15 guests per tour.
As you move around the Opera House, practise physical distancing (1.5 metres wherever possible) and follow the guidance provided by our staff and signage.
If you've booked a tour for other people, you are responsible for maintaining the contact details for all of your guests for the purpose of contact tracing, if required.
All tour guests will be required to provide their contact details on arrival, signing in via a QR code.
There are new Covid-specific conditions of entry for people attending a tour. This includes the circumstances under which you must not attend the Opera House, and what's required of you when you visit.
