The 2022 Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival (SSFFF) has announced a line-up which reaffirms Australia's newest celebration of genre film culture as an international event. This years's celebration of speculative cinema will screen at EVENT Cinemas George Street; the first Melbourne leg of the festival will unfurl concurrently at Cinema Nova; then a 'Travelling Roadshow' selection of titles will play at EVENT Cinema venues in two regional NSW sites.

Featuring 10 features and 50 shorts from 20 countries, the 2022 schedule boasts the Australian premiere of Kirsten Carthew's POLARIS, direct from opening the prestigious Fantasia Fest in Montreal, which will open the festival. Other major acquisitions include the Australian Premiere of Paul Owen's thrilling mystery LANDLOCKED; the gaming-inspired SIGHT EXTENDED, from Daniel Lazo and Eran Mar-Raz; the visionary Rwandan-shot fantasy, NEPTUNE FROST; and retro-session highlights, STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN and BRAINSTORM.

Tickets are available via the venue websites.
