Join the aerial experts at Darling Harbour this summer. This two-hour class from Sydney Trapeze School caters for all levels - from the first timer to frequent flyer.
The session begins with an introduction to the world-famous circus apparatus and a full-body warm-up. The school will share tips about the low stationary trapeze bar to get you familiar with the manoeuvres and shapes you'll be trying to make in the air.
You'll be fitted with a safety harness to climb a ladder to the eight-metre-high platform before taking your first flight. You'll also have the opportunity to practice 'flying tricks'. The session will end with students attempting to be caught by a 'catcher' midair - if you're ready for the challenge.
The legends at Sydney Trapeze School have been teaching trapeze and circus skills to aspiring performers for more than 14 years. Please note, flying trapeze classes have a minimum age restriction of 8 years.

Want to try your hand at some circus skills? Sydney Trapeze School has many magical marvels to test your manipulation and dexterity. Learn to spin plates, juggle a range of objects, find the rhythm of poi and test your balance during one of their workshops. For anyone who's ever dreamt of running away to join the circus, there's a home for you in the free circus fun activities area, taking place at the same time as the trapeze lessons are taking flight.
Not ready to fly-high? No worries. Marvel at jaw-dropping trapeze shows running twice a day during Sydney Fest. UPDATE: SYDNEY FEST WILL NOT BE PROCEEDING ON THURSDAY 16 JANUARY DUE TO THE WEATHER.
