WITH JOSÉ MARÍA GALLARDO DEL REY AND ARTE KANELA

A passionate evening of music and dance, saluting the essence and spirit of Spanish music.

Since his debut in Seville at the age of nine, José María Gallardo Del Rey has achieved universal public and critical acclaim as a guitarist who seamlessly traverses the worlds of flamenco and classical music. Gallardo del Rey is a leading authority on the instrument among conductors and players alike, and a soloist in great demand by orchestras throughout the world.

Arte Kanela are an unsurpassed force in the Australian flamenco music scene. Formed deep within the Spanish Quarter of Melbourne in 1990, Arte Kanela has performed in an array of nationally significant venues and multicultural festivals, as well as collaborating with some of Australia’s and Spain’s finest musicians. What began with family, young friendships, and musical bonds has evolved into an institutional band.

These remarkable artists come together for a double bill for one spirited night only.
