This showcased event has concluded.
Saxophonist, arranger/composer and Canberra ex-pat, Niels Rosendahl presents an intimate jazz concert with old friends, Wayne Kelly (piano), James Luke (bass), and Chris Thwaite (drums). This performance will feature a mixture of original, contemporary and standard jazz tunes, many of which are featured on his last album, "No Time for Talkers".
The Canberra jazz community will remember Niels from a decade ago when he embarked overseas to undertake further graduate study at the prestigious University of North Texas (where he played in the Grammy-nominated UNT One O'clock Lab Band). Since returning to Australia in 2015, Niels established himself in Melbourne and across the country as an in-demand professional saxophonist and arranger/composer across multiple genres. Niels now resides permanently in Perth where he plays lead tenor saxophone in the Western Australian Jazz Project - WA's premier jazz orchestra. Recently, Niels became an endorsed artist with Forestone Japan.
