Kids will have fun creating clay finger puppets in this half-day workshop for children aged 6-9yrs.
Using ceramic pinch pot hand-building techniques, they'll make a collection of all their favourite animals including dogs, cats or rabbits. Once the puppets forms are completed, they'll add individual facial and body features using different surface treatments and underglazes.
This is a great workshop for kids to get an introduction to ceramics and experiment with pressing, rolling, stamping and sgraffito to decorate their works.
This workshop is designed for complete beginners. No prior experience necessary.
Class size: maximum 10
What to bring: yourself - all materials provided
What to wear: enclosed shoes (no sandals or thongs) and comfortable clothing (aprons provided)
Works will be fired and ready to collect approximately 4 weeks after the workshop.
We aim to present inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs please contact Jana Hawkins-Andersen, programs coordinator on 02 9265 9789 or pinestreet@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au
