Surry Hills has a notorious history. The 1920's and '30s in Depression times was a very different place from its genteel character today. It was a desperately poor area, full of large Catholic families squashed into single room accomodation and was a haven for criminals of every description.

Jazzy Cafe Bar is the premises where Kate Leigh lived towards the end of her life, still operating her business - sly grog . An exclusive cabaret for 20 people max exploring classic inner city Sydney stories.
