Art can be a powerful source of well-being, and our Artist Educators will guide you through artwork to experience it, and perhaps yourself, in new ways.
Art Flow is a 45-minute session that invites you to contemplate art and your emotional response in a calm and supportive environment, opening you up to flowing through the rest of your day.
Art Flow has been developed over the past two years by MCA Artist Educators, the MCA Public Programs team and The Mind Room, a health, wellbeing and performance psychology community.
Who is this session for?
Art Flow is open to everyone, and no prior knowledge or experience is necessary to take part. We invite people from all backgrounds and communities aged 18+ to join Art Flow.
About our Artist Educators
Our team of Artist Educators bring their own art and cultural practices and experiences to the programs they lead. They create warm and welcoming spaces, making every visit unique for participants.
About The Mind Room
The Mind Room is a health, well-being and performance psychology community. They share psychological knowledge and tools to empower people and communities to grow fit minds and flourishing lives.
There are four sessions per week, with a new artwork experience each week. Artworks of focus in June and July include:
Elizabeth Mipilanggurr, Bamagora (conical pandanus palm mat), 2001
Nicholas Mangan, A World Undone, 2012
Khadim Ali, The Haunted Lotus, 2011-2012
