SIMA presents the Jazz:NOW Summer Festival featuring;
Ruby's Summer Fiesta
A free daytime event featuring a spectacular selection of culturally diverse music. Pack a picnic, and join us on the grass for this invigorating summer soundtrack.
Bring a drum and play along with Karifi's traditional African rhythms or dance to the Balkan Gypsy horns of The Glorious Sousaphonics, who will joined by legendary vocalist Nadya Golski.
Not to be outdone, Worlds Collide deliver both the thunderous attack of a rock & roll band and the contemplative vibrations of Sufi-inspired hip hop. Infused with global percussion, eastern melodies and lyrics from the streets of Mt Druitt, the group launch their debut album 'Emergency' with infectious grooves that will invite you to move your body!
This family-friendly triple bill of cross-cultural music ends in a massive musical finale - hearing is beliving!
